Bio
Jerry originally joined the RTE board in 2004. After a taking a break for a couple of years, Jerry returned to the Board in 2007. Jerry graduated from California State University at Hayward with a B.A. in Theatre Arts and went to graduate school at UCLA where he earned his M.F.A. in Design and Theatre Production. Since then, he has worked on over 100 shows both within the United States and around the world, serving as Lighting Designer, Scenic Designer, and/or Director. He also worked on the 1984 Olympics as the Associate Lighting Designer for the Los Angeles Olympic Art Festival. In 1987, he designed lights as well as scenery for the Pope's visit to San Antonio, Texas. Jerry is still active in designing for regional theatres across the country, and has designed for companies such as San Jose Repertory, P.C.P.A. Santa Maria, Stage Rep in Houston, and Bangor Repertory. He is also the company lighting designer for Teatro de Danza Contempoanea de El Salvador in San Salvador and Washington D.C. During the day, Jerry is an Associate Professor of Scenic Design at Santa Clara University.
